Why a link works better than a PDF

  • Always up to dateEdit the profile and the link changes with it. No new file to make, nothing to send again.
  • Turn it off any timeChange your mind, and the link stops working straight away, even where it was forwarded.
  • Photos only if you chooseShow photos on the link, or keep them back. Switch whenever you like.
  • Your number stays privateThe biodata never shows your mobile number, and it's hidden from search engines.

Three steps

  1. Make a free profile

Seven short steps, about ten minutes. Answers save as you go.

  2. Tap “Share as a biodata”

On your profile, once it's complete. You get a private link.

  3. Send it on WhatsApp

To family, relatives, or the family you're talking to. It opens on any phone.

What to include in a marriage biodata

A good biodata answers the questions a family asks first, in the order they ask them, and leaves the rest for the first conversation. Keep it factual and honest: it's the start of a relationship, not an advertisement.

Personal details

Full name, date of birth, height, marital status, and where they live now. Many families also ask for the time and place of birth, for matching horoscopes.

Religion and horoscope

Religion, community or caste, and gotra where it matters to the family. Mention whether they're manglik if horoscopes will be matched.

Education and career

Highest qualification and where it was earned, then what they do and where. Income is best given as a range rather than an exact figure.

Family

Parents' occupations, brothers and sisters (and whether they're married), the kind of family (joint or nuclear), its values, and where the family is from.

About them, in their own words

Three or four sentences about who they are, what they enjoy, and how they spend a weekend. This is the part families remember, so let it sound like a person.

Partner expectations

An age and height range, and anything that genuinely matters: education, location, diet. Leave open whatever doesn't. A short list gets better matches than a long one.

Photos

One clear, recent photo of the face, and one full-length photo. Natural light, no heavy filters.

What to leave out

Your home address, and anything you wouldn't want forwarded to strangers. Biodatas travel further than you expect, which is one reason a link you can turn off is safer than a file.

Questions about biodatas

What is a marriage biodata?

A short summary of someone looking to marry: personal details, education and work, family, and what they're hoping for in a partner. Families exchange biodatas before deciding whether to meet.

Is it free?

Yes. Making the profile and sharing it as a biodata link is completely free for early members, for a limited time.

Can I make a biodata for my son or daughter?

Yes. Choose who it's for when you start, and every question is worded for them. Most biodatas are made by parents.

Why a link instead of a PDF?

A PDF goes out of date the moment something changes, and once it's forwarded you can't take it back. A link always shows the latest details, and you can turn it off at any time.

Can I print it or save it as a PDF?

Yes. Open the link and use your browser's Print option. It prints cleanly, without the website around it, and “Save as PDF” keeps a copy.

Will my phone number be on it?

No. The biodata never shows your mobile number. Whoever you send it to on WhatsApp already has it.

Can I hide the photos?

Yes. You choose whether the link shows photos, and you can change your mind whenever you like.

Will it show up on Google?

No. Biodata links are private: they're hidden from search engines, and only people you send the link to can open it.
